The Vital Role of Membership Fees

E-mail Print PDF

Throughout its history, WFSF has been supported by various national, regional, and international groups such as Mankind 2000, The Club of Rome, IRADES, Futuribles, the Secretariat for Futures Studies in Sweden, the University of Hawaii in the U.S.A., the Turku School of Economics in Finland, the Communication Centre at Queensland University of Technology in Australia, the University Research Center of the University of St. La Salle in the Philippines, the Provost of the University of Houston-Clear Lake (UHCL), the Dean of Human Sciences and Humanities, UHCL, and currently the Global Cities Research Institute, RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia.

To insure independence, the general activities of the Federation are covered mainly by membership fees from individuals and institutions, and by the organization hosting the Presidency or Secretariat.

Expenses for conferences (global and regional), seminars, courses, and research projects are generally covered by the participants themselves and the local organisations. The Federation also seeks and accepts grants for specific purposes.

How to Contribute:

1. Donations to the work of the Federation from non-members and members alike are always welcome. Members who wish to donate to WFSF need to log in to the membership area and follow the prompts. Non-members can send cheques or money orders (in Euros) to our account:

  • Bank account owner: WFSF
  • Bank name: CIC groupe CIAL
  • IBAN : FR76 3008 7332 2800 0749 7370 177
  • SWIFT code: CMCIFRPP

2. A special Solidarity Fund was established at the XVIIth World Conference in Romania to offset travel expenses for students to attend World Conferences. Please send contributions ear-marked for that purpose to the bank address above.

Thank you!

Federation administration depends in large part on the dues and contributions of members.
